    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

    Meet and transport to the hotel when you arrive at the airport. In the afternoon, you can choose an escorted stroll around Thamel and Kathmandu’s local streets. In the evening, there will be a welcome meal with a traditional Nepalese cultural program.

  • Day 02

    Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

    After breakfast, begin touring in Kathmandu, including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swyambhunath Stupa. The palaces of the medieval Kings who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom may be seen in the Kathmandu Durbar Square region. Swayambhu means “the self-existent” and is known as the Monkey Temple by international visitors because to the enormous number of monkeys that live in this region. Swayambunath Stupa is supposed to be almost 2,000 years old and to represent wisdom. The painted eyeballs on all four sides represent Buddha’s all-seeing omnipotence. It is a sacred Buddhist site visited by people from all around the world. In the afternoon, you will have a briefing and discussion about your excursion.

  • Day 03

    Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) - 30 min &Trek to Phakding (2652m). 3hrs

    Transfer to the domestic airport early in the morning to board a spectacular mountain flight to Lukla (2840m), which will take around 30 minutes. The flight to Lukla will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. When we arrive in Lukla, we will begin our 3-hour walk to Phakding, passing via the picturesque Chaurikharka hamlet on the left. The route continues up to Chheplung (2660m), Thado Koshigaon (2580m), from where you can see Mt. Kusum Khangkaru (6367m), Nuring (2492m), and Phakding.

    The route to Phakding takes you through the verdant environment of Nepal’s lower Everest area, with breathtaking views of local communities and green farmlands, to the charming hamlet of Phakding. We don’t go much on the first day of our hike and stay at Phakding village.

  • Day 04

    Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6hrs

    After breakfast, begin hiking through a lovely pine forest to the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park and Monjo Village through the Dudh Koshi River and the Hillary Suspension Bridge. After passing through Phakding hamlet, don’t miss the first glimpse of Mt. Kongde Ri (6186m) on your right. The route continues with some up and down till we reach Bengkar village on the river’s corner and Monjo village on the river’s left side. Monju hamlet is located on the outskirts of the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nepal.

    We stop at the checkpoint, enter, and present the papers to the authorities before continuing our walk through Jorsalle hamlet (2740m), Large Dovan (2830m), and through one of the highest bridges in the Everest zone over the Dudhkosi River. Then, after roughly an hour of climbing, you’ll arrive at Chautara, Everest’s first viewpoint. After nearly an hour of strenuous ascent, you reach Namche Bazar, the Sherpa people’s capital. Namche Bazar is a commercial post for the Sherpa people. It is also an excellent market for travelers looking to buy traditional locally manufactured crafts.

  • Day 05

    Acclimatization, trek to Everest view hotel Syangboche (3880m) 4hrs.

    Today is a relaxation day to allow your body to acclimate to the high-altitude climate. The premise is a walk-in high levitation followed by an overnight stay in lower levitation. In the morning, we visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery, from where you can see beautiful mountain vistas of Mt. Everest, Kongde, Kusum Kangru, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Begin your hike to the Everest View Hotel by passing via Syangboche Airport (3700m), which is believed to be the highest airport in the world.

    We continue climbing to Mt. Everest View Hotel, which offers spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and other peaks. Then we were led into Khumjung village, where we mingled with locals and learned about the culture, traditions, and way of life of the Sherpa people who live in Nepal’s Everest area. You may go to Khumjung High School and connect with the professors and students. Then return to Namche Bazar.

  • Day 06

    Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3860m) 5hrs

    Trek from Namche Bazar to Tengboche, taking in spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. The trail continues through Kayangjuma, Sansa, and Phunki Thenga before crossing the Dudh Koshi River bridge. After crossing the river, the route climbs 500 meters to the mountaintop known as Tengboche settlement. Tengboche is an exceptional area, with the largest Buddhist monastery in the world, Tengboche Monastery, located on top of the settlement.

    Tangbuche Monastery is one of Nepal’s largest monasteries, located in the Everest area. The monastery’s initial edifice was established in 1923 AD. It was damaged and rebuilt after an earthquake in 1934. It was devastated by fire again in 1989 and rebuilt with the assistance of volunteers and international donations. Tengboche offers stunning views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Kusum Khangkaru, and Kongde Ri to the south.

  • Day 07

    Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m) 5hrs

    If you want to pray and watch the ceremony at Tengboche monastery, go early in the morning. Try to arrive before 7:30 a.m. to witness the monks praying, and you may also participate in prayer. After breakfast, walk for around 5 hours from Tengboche to Dingboche, commonly known as Summer Valley. We begin by trekking via Debuche, across the Imja Khola bridge, and trekking through lovely green fields, protected regions, and the settlement of Pangboche (3900m).

    For a full day, the trail to Dingboche is a step up. On the route, the villages of Somare (4010m) and Orsho provide wonderful views of Mt. Aama Dablam. We descend to the river and take the uphill trail to Dingboche along the north face of Pheriche town. We trekked for around 3 hours from Pangboche to Dingboche settlement.

  • Day 08

    Acclimatisation, in Dingboche (4410m), Optional hike to Chhukhung (4730m)

    Again, a day of rest and acclimatization is required before ascending to greater altitude; we spend our rest day in Dingboche. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with a stunning dawn view of Aama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, and countless more peaks to the south. We trek to Chhukhung, a magnificent peak that takes approximately 3-4 hours to explore. From the viewpoint, we can see three of the world’s six tallest mountains: Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Makalu (8485m), and Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m). To the west, you can see the peaks of Cho Latse (6440m) and Taboche (6542m). Then we returned to Dingboche and rested in the evening.

  • Day 09

    Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m) 5hrs

    Trek to Lobuche through the Khumbu Khola valley and Duglha (4530m), which leads to the white Chorten at the summit of the hill. Continue on past Dusa (4530m), Palrung Khrka, and you will see the Chola peak on top, as well as Chola Lake (4590m) on the left. As the route continues to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, you may see Mt. Pumori (7161m), Khumbutse, Khumbu Peak, Nuptse, Baruche, Lola Peak, and stunning vistas of the Himalayas. Due to the great altitude, you may feel out of breath when we reach the Khumbu Glacier moraine. It will take around 5 hours to get from Dingboche to Lobuche.

  • Day 10

    Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5180m) Hike to Everest Base- Camp (5364m) & back to Gorak Shep (8hrs)

    Trekking to Gorak Shep takes you via the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, with views of Mt. Everest’s north ridge, Mt. Pumo Ri, Mahalangur, and Mt. Nuptse, as well as other summits. We will arrive at Gorak Shep after around 3 hours of trekking from Lobuche. Take a break for lunch in Gorekh Shep and then relax for a while. Gorakshep is the last spot to find lodge/guesthouse lodging. Continue climbing for another 3 hours from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp.

    When we get at EBC, we will take in the natural splendor of the Khumbu Glacier and icefall, as well as the people sleeping in the tented camp and some of the eager mountain climbers preparing for the Everest adventure. We will spend one hour at the base camp admiring the Himalayan grandeur and photographing the beautiful vistas. Then return to Gorekhshep. Prepare for tomorrow’s dawn views from Kalapatthar by waking up early in the morning.

  • Day 11

    Hike to Kalapatthar (5545m) for sunrise; descend to Gorakshep & Pheriche (4210m) 7hrs

    Today is the most difficult day of our journey. We get up at 4 a.m. and begin our journey to Kalapatthar for the stunning dawn vista and mountain massif. It will take around 2-3 hours to get from Gorakhshep to Kalapatthar. After a lengthy but extremely fascinating and adventurous walk, we shall arrive in Kala Patthar. Then take in the breathtaking views of various mountains such as Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Pumo Ri (7161m), Lingtren (6749), Khumbutse Peak (6640m), Baruche (7129m), Nuptse (7861m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Kangtega (6685m), Thamserku (6608m), Lhotse (8516), and the Tibetan ranges. We’ll take in the panoramic vistas of the Himalayas and document the experience with our cameras.

    We spend about a half hour capturing all of the moments in our cameras as images and films before descending back to Gorakshep, which takes about an hour. After breakfast, proceed to Pheriche (4210m) via Lobuche and Thukla. We will eat lunch in Thukla after descending for 2-3 hours from Gorakhshep. It will take an additional hour to descend to Pheriche settlement.

  • Day 12

    Pheriche to Phortse (3810m) via Pangboche 5-6hrs

    Begin your hike from Pheriche to Phortse village (3810m), which will take around 5-6 hours. The route travels through areas where wild creatures such as mountain goats, musk deer, and a variety of Himalayan birds may be seen. We descend from Pheriche to Upper Pangboche settlement (3930m). It is well recognized as the settlement at the highest elevation on Earth. From Pangboche, it will take 3 hours to reach the lovely town of Phortse. The monasteries were erected in this village around the 16th century, and the culture and tradition have remained untouched since the ancient time.

  • Day 13

    Trek Phortse to Khumjung (3780mm) 6hrs

    Trek from Phortse village to Monjo village after breakfast, which will take roughly 6 hours. The route descends rapidly for about 20 minutes from Phortse hamlet to the Dudh Koshi River, crosses the bridge, and arrives to Phortse Thangka. For approximately an hour and a half, we climb steadily up to Mongla Hill (3973m). Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Khangkaru, Kongde Ri, and  Tawache Peak can all be seen from Mongla Hill. At Mongla Hill, take your time viewing the spectacular mountain vistas. Descend all the way to the well-known hamlet of Khumjung from here.

    The Khumbu region’s major settlement is considered to be Khumjung village. Sr. Edmond Hilary founded a well-equipped high school in 1960. In the afternoon, interact with the school kids and instructors before exploring Khumjung village to learn about Sherpa culture, traditions, and the way of life of the Khumbu region’s inhabitants.

  • Day 14

    Trek Khumjung to Bengkar (2630m) 5hrs

    After a leisurely breakfast, begin the hike. Namche Bazar is around an hour away. Before we descend, we’ll stop at Namche Bazar for lunch. We make our way down the valley on the Dudh Koshi River. It is a steep descent from Namche to Bengkar, which takes around 3 to 4 hours. Along the trek, the lovely Monjo hamlet is located on the border of Sagarmatha National Park. After another hour of walking from Monjo, you will arrive at Bangkar. You may explore the nearby community and nature in the evening.

  • Day 15

    End trek, Bangkar to Lukla (2840m)

    Today is the last day of our Everest Basecamp and Kalapatthar expedition. Treks begin in the morning, touring numerous Sherpa hamlets along the Dudh Kosi River’s riverbed, with multiple ups and downs. Along the trip, we’ll visit a number of monasteries that represent distinct Buddhist cultures and traditions. When we get in Lukla, we will have some downtime at the hotel before flying back to Kathmandu the next day. Tenzing-Hilary airfield, often known as Lukla Airport, is a tiny airfield in Nepal’s lower Khumbu area.

    Fly back Lukla to Kathmandu (1310m) 35 min flight

    Flying from Lukla to Kathmandu takes 35 minutes of breathtaking scenery before landing at the airport’s domestic terminal. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival in Kathmandu, and spend the afternoon at leisure.

    Free/Leisure Day in Kathmandu

    It’s also a day off in case there’s terrible weather in Lukla. Remember that there is a significant possibility of flight cancellations in Lukla due to weather conditions. You may take a stroll around the local tourist market in Kathmandu to witness the way of life of the people who live in the Kathmandu Valley.

    Traditional buildings, arts and crafts, and locals selling garments, fruits, and vegetables may be seen near Indra Chowk and Asan, which are located in the northern part of Kathmandu Durbar Square.
